Postponing citizenship
is denying identity!

In response to the inaction in processing applications, Martins Castro submitted a petition to the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal, requesting compliance with the deadlines established in the Constitution for the handling of Portuguese nationality procedures.

The situation constitutes a violation of Article 128 of the Code of Administrative Procedure, which establishes a maximum period of 90 working days for the conclusion of these processes.
